[ARCHIVED] BALCH SPRINGS CARES: Emergency Housing and Small Business Stabilization Grant Assistance


The American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), enacted on March 11, 2021, provides monies under the Coronavirus State & Local Fiscal Recovery Fund.

The City of Balch Springs will address financial and negative impacts to Balch Spring households and small businesses continuing to face hardships due to the COVID-19 public health emergency. Through ARPA, funding assistance will be provided for Small Business Retention and Operations. Emergency Household assistance will be provided for households with rent, mortgage, and utility arrears, and for those at risk of homelessness due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Applications will be evaluated on an individual basis, are subject to approval, must include evidence of loss or impact, meet guidelines, and include all required documentation. Assistance will be offered on a limited basis and demonstrated need. 

Submission of an application does not guarantee eligibility or an offer of assistance.
