The Parks & Recreation department has remained steadfast in providing an online system that would offer increased functionality to community users. Staff spent about a year searching for a cost-effective software solution to fit the needs of the city and provided a user-friendly experience for both citizens and staff.
In October 2018, the city partnered with CivicPlus to manage all community and recreational activities. CivicRec by CivicPlus delivers integrated technology solutions that enables and encourages participation in activities and events. Not only will the system be more convenient for customers, it also will streamline workflows for internal staff. Before the switch to CivicRec, customers had to physically go to a city building to register and pay for an activity or the rental of a facility. We are pleased to announce that CivicRec is now live and customers can begin conveniently utilizing the system to conduct business within city. Just go to the navigation bar, hover your mouse over Community, and click on Community Catalog.
