2022 Election

City of Balch Springs General Election – May 7, 2022

The City’s General Election is scheduled for Saturday, May 7, 2022 and is for the purpose of electing the following positions: Place 2 (At-Large), Place 4, and Place 6.  The first day to file an application for a place on the ballot begins January 19, 2022, and the last day is February 18, 2022, by 5:00PM. The elected officials to these positions shall hold office for a period of two (2) years.  The last day to register to vote for May 7, 2022 General Election is April 7, 2022.

City Council Candidate Packets for the May 7, 2022, City Council Election are available in the City Secretary's Office beginning January 5, 2022 (Subject to change).

Anyone wishing to obtain a Candidate Packet must contact the City Secretary's Office in advance to scheduled a pick-up time. You may schedule by calling the office 972-286-4477 ext. 210, cell 469-616-5625 or by email to Cindy Gross, City Secretary. Alternatively, an electronic version of the packet is available by email upon request.
