The Mayor and City Council of Balch Springs are proud to offer scholarships to graduating students in the City of Balch Springs. For this purpose, we are accepting applications for consideration of a Mayor's Scholarship Award in the amount of $1500 (5 scholarship awards are available).
To be eligible, students must be a graduating senior and have an accumulative GPA of 3.0 (or higher) as reflected on transcripts provided with the application form. Students must also be a resident in the City of Balch Springs from the start of their senior year through the present.
Applications will be available for completion on the City of Balch Springs Website beginning March 1, 2023 through April 15, 2023; No late or incomplete applications will be accepted for consideration.
Scholarship awards recipients will be announced in May and awards will be presented at a June 2023 City Council Meeting.
