CENSUS 2020

Every 10 years, the U.S. Constitution requires that a count of the United States' population be taken. Ensuring a full count of everyone in our state is critical to our shared goals for a thriving Texas.

Census data provides pertinent information for local communities that comprise Dallas County, and cities within Dallas.

The census data is extremely important in determining the number of resources provided by the federal and state government and has a direct impact on transportation, new roads, schools, health programs, emergency services, and other community or resident needs.

The census impacts the number of representatives each state gets in Congress.

BALCH SPRINGS, "Be Counted." Every person undercounted in the county causes a loss of approximately $1,578 per person/ per year for a decade, and funds are distributed to other communities.

It is safe and easy to be counted. In addition to mailing, 2020 will be the first year citizens can respond online or via phone in 12 different languages.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 1st is NATIONAL CENSUS DAY

The Census Count requires the efforts of many community partners and stakeholders.  Can you support Balch Springs towards a complete count?
